  18.     I haven't checked myself, but it's almost certainly an emulation
  19. chip.  I've only seen one real 16550 chip in all the modems I've owned (or
  20. which there are quite a few), and that was on a rather old modem.  I
  21. wouldn't worry about it though, in my experience you probably will never
  22. know the difference unless you look at the chips..
